Today i came across a very confusing incident...my mum picked me from school n we went for lunch,along with my sis....after lunch,we went to cold storage. after "grocer-ing" we went to the counter. my mum saw that the "less than six items" cashier was empty n headed that way...i counted the items in our trolley n realised we had eight items...i informed my mum n she went to the other cashier....happy that i jus corrected my mum,i went to look at some magazines....setting my eye on W.I.T.C.H, i went to pay for it...shocked,i saw my mum paying at the "less than six items" counter....i went up to her to let her pay for the magazine..i didn't say a word 'bout her not following the rules....the lady at the cashier suddenly said in mandarin:"madam,u have exceeded the no. of items for this counter u should have gone to the next one." i was as red as a strawberry,jus standing there but my mum still had the guts to say:"she could pay for the exceeding items." n pointed at me....i don't even dare to look up!!!!! i jus stacked all the remaining groceries,hands shaking...not because i m cold,not even because i was embarrased but cos' i was angry at my mum, how could she do such a thing? it's very infuriating....while carrying all the groceries to the car,not very happily, my mum even told me:"this kind of inflexible people ah,next time cannot be successful one...cannot get promotion one...so "straight"..." i was like..."hellloooo? like who was the one who made a fool of herself like an auntie in the market bargaining????" i think that what the woman at the counter did was like totally right n she should totally get a promotion....if i think the same way as her,won't my mum calling her own daughter "straight"? seriously,sometimes when my mum n i don't see eye to eye....i don't noe who's right or wrong....
